Jonathan Hynd, a British Painter in Rome
... was born in Manchester, England, in 1950.
Educated at Winchester College, the Architectural Association and St. Martins School of Art, he received his MA at Goldsmiths College London in 1983.
Many of his recent works are prepared using cardboard and gesso. The raw pigments are trowelled directly onto the surface. It is only through the process of adding and subtracting that the narrative emerges.
